Nagoya University Program for Academic Exchange (NUPACE) Japanese Program

1. Objective
- For international students belonging in the Nagoya University Program for Academic Exchange (NUPACE). The objective of the program is to improve students' Japanese language skills necessary for daily life and research activities at the university.

2. Program Eligibility
- Must be an international student in the NUPACE Program. Applicants must complete the application process and take the placement test during the specified period.

3. Course Period
- The spring semester starts in April and ends in August. The fall semester starts in October and ends in February of the following year. Japanese courses are offered from beginner to advanced level.

4. Class Structure

There are a total of six levels of courses: three levels for beginners, one level for elementary and intermediate, two levels for intermediate, and one level for advanced. In addition to these, there are classes available individually as electives. Prospective students take a placement test before the program begins and are placed in each course according to the results of the placement test.

5. Class Capacity
- In general, 25 people.

6. Registration
- Students who wish to enroll in a course must take the placement test, apply for the course, and complete the registration process.
